Dr. Denise Nichols-Roberts

MPH, DPT

Dr. Nichols-Roberts co-founded the Clinic of Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy. She holds a Diploma in Physical Therapy from the University Hospital of the West Indies School of Physical Therapy, a Masters in Public Health from the University of The West Indies, Mona and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University.

Dr. Nichols-Roberts has specialised in sports and rehabilitation and has played an integral role in sports rehabilitation on both the local and international scene. Over the years, she has provided physical therapy management to many premier league football teams and Jamaica’s National football team. She formerly worked with the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) as the team Physical Therapist and was a part of the 1998 Jamaica FIFA World Cup squad.

Her love for sharing knowledge and advancing the profession of Physical Therapy has driven her to lecture in both the undergraduate and postgraduate programs at the University of the West Indies and as an adjunct lecturer at Nova Southeastern University. Outside of her profession, she enjoys downtime in her garden.

Dr. Jair Lyons

BSc., DPT

A long-standing team member, Dr. Lyons brings a diverse physical therapy and fitness coaching background. Dr Lyons started his journey as a physical therapy aide and became a physical therapist. Dr. Lyons holds a diploma in Physical Therapy from the School of Physical Therapy of the University Hospital of the West Indies (2002) and a doctorate in physical therapy from Nova South Eastern University (2010).

Dr Lyons prides himself on being an active individual, enjoying many activities such as swimming, running, and playing tennis, just to name a few. Beyond his physical therapy career, Dr. Lyons founded Trueform Fitness, the owner and head coach of Fitness 876 (Jamaica’s only CrossFit facility). 

He has worked with the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF), travelling as the team’s Physical Therapist. He has recently added an Olympic weightlifting coach to his portfolio, developing and training local Jamaican athletes.

Dr. Raejean Porter

DPT, SHSS

Dr. Porter holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of The West Indies School of Physical Therapy and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Evidence in Motion Institute of Health Professions, specialising in Geriatric Physical Therapy.

Her work in rehabilitative and preventative care allows her patients to enjoy the best quality of life. Dr Porter uses a holistic approach, combining evidence-based techniques with a personalised plan of care to address each patient’s unique needs and goals. Dr Porter is also a trained senior home safety and ageing place specialist. While she is outside the clinic, she enjoys challenging herself with fitness activities such as running, swimming, CrossFit, and travelling to new countries.

Mr. Chaz-Anthony James

BSc, RPT

Mr. James, a graduate with First Class Honours from the University of the West Indies School of Physical Therapy, brings a wealth of experience in rehabilitating athletes and working closely with sports teams. 

His expertise extends to the general population referred for musculoskeletal injuries and neuromuscular and cardiopulmonary pathologies. 

Mr. James is AIFIDN Dry Needling Level 3 Certified and FIFA Guardians Safeguarding Essentials Certified. He is an avid lover of watching and playing sports, with his favourite hobby being running; however, he never runs away from a challenge!
